Lakeside Retreat

This holiday home is designed for easy living with a 'lock up and leave' level of maintenance a priority.
The bach had to suit the surrounding landscape, be flexible to suit extended family gatherings, yet cosy to suit when only two people are in residence. Due to the isolation of the site, careful planning was required to minimise site deliveries and travel.

The owners requested cladding that would suit the environment and would require minimal maintenance. Views to both the North and West are amazing and were a must to maximise.

The flooring is ply which has been stained black. It's a super practical finish with a modern edge. Large sliders open up the entire lounge area to the deck and lake views.

Mezzanine floors make this bach appear small, yet sleeps eight with ease. The bach nestles comfortably into the landscape.
